Our Story
Swindell Pottery is the work of Dan and Carly Swindell, a father daughter team based in Nashville, TN. We both started making ceramics from an early age and quickly fell in love with the art form. In 2019 we decided to create ceramics together and the business was born. Each piece is handcrafted with love and intention in our studio and fired in small batches, continuing traditions and methods of potters before us.

Our process
We make most of our work on the wheel and use carving, added texture, or glaze combinations to create depth, dimension and embellishment on the surface of the form. Our decorative patterns and colors are often inspired by nature. We take pride in our work being joyful, bold, beautiful and playful.
We enjoy the way in which functional pottery integrates itself into our lives. It becomes a part of the everyday experience and in doing so takes on inherent meaning and stories beyond its initial creation. This transformation is beautiful and something that brings us joy and happiness.
