About Us

Dan, a true ceramics master, first begin making pottery in high school. During college he studied under Louis Synder, owner of Studio S in Murfreesboro, TN. Soon, he was working as a production potter for Studio S and throwing hundreds of cups, goblets, bowls and cover jars each month. Many years later his daughter Carly was introduced to the art of ceramics while earning her B.F.A. Although painting was her primary focus, she quickly fell in love with ceramics. A few years later, they decided to team up and start Swindell Pottery so they could share their love of ceramics with you, and with the world.
